Muheet Oil Refining Company has announced the successful completion of a foundational technical mission at our Ras Lanuf project site. On January 13, 2025, the Muheet technical team officially commenced an intensive 10 day topographic survey, marking a vital step in the physical development of our upcoming refining facilities.
This site visit was dedicated to establishing the precise geospatial framework required for highlevel engineering and infrastructure planning.
Precision Engineering: The 10-Day Mission
Over a 10-day period, our specialized team conducted a thorough evaluation of the site’s terrain. By utilizing modern surveying technology, the team ensured that the project’s physical boundaries and elevations are documented with absolute accuracy.
Advanced Technology and Global Standards
To ensure the highest degree of accuracy, the team employed state-of-the-art surveying technologies, including:
- Drone Imagery: High-resolution imaging sensors were deployed via drones to capture
detailed aerial data across the entire site. - Strategic Partnerships: Following an initial contract with Al-Ba’ad Al-Sabie’ company,
Muheet engaged stronger, more experienced firms for optimal results. Additionally, AlHujurat was contracted to prepare the comprehensive Environmental Impact
Assessment (EIA), underscoring our commitment to environmental excellence. - GNSS Integration: The survey utilized modern Global Navigation Satellite Systems
(GNSS) to tie the site to both the Libyan Survey Department (SDL) network (via point
GPS 18-2) and the International GNSS Service (IGS) global network. - Sophisticated Processing: Specialized software, including Trimble Business Center (TBC),
CHC Geomatics Office 2 (CGO2), and DJI Terra, were used to process the observations
and generate detailed Digital Elevation Models (DEM).
A Foundation for Future Growth
By finalizing this Topographic Survey Report in January 2025, Muheet has secured the precise “digital DNA” required for the next stages of development. This data allows our technical teams to optimize site leveling, align critical infrastructure, and ensure the highest safety and environmental standards from the very beginning of our journey
